Where is the Netsmart CONNECTIONS2008 conference being held?
The conference is being held at the Caribe Royale Resort and Convention Center in Orlando, the same location as CONNECTIONS2007. The Caribe is conveniently located minutes from major Orlando-area attractions, including Disney World, Sea World and Universal Studios. CONNECTIONS2008 sessions will be held at the hotel’s single level conference center directly adjacent to the hotel.

Who should attend CONNECTIONS2008?
All Netsmart customers! CONNECTIONS2008 will feature product specific training sessions and updates for all Netsmart product lines including Avatar, CMHC/MIS, Methadone, Insight and Vital Records. In addition, attendees can broaden their horizons with sessions of general interest like electronic medical record implementation, e-prescribing, and Netsmart University.
What are the components of the conference?
The conference offers two registration options. The General Conference will feature sessions for a variety of Netsmart users, including clinical staff, A/R and billing staff, systems managers, IT managers, medical records staff and others. The Executive Symposium is designed for CEOS, Executive Directors, COOs, CFOs, CIOs and others with management responsibility for their agency or organization.
What are the registration fees?
- Early Bird Registration (on or before March 1, 2008)

Can I transfer my registration to a co-worker if I cannot attend?
Yes, please send an e-mail to info@netsmartconnections.com with the following information:

What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellations received by February 1, 2008 will be refunded 50 percent of the conference fee. No refunds will be given after February 1, 2008.
Does the registration fee include my hotel room?
No. Your hotel room costs are independent of the conference cost. A special discounted room rate of $179/per night, plus tax at the Caribe Royale has been established for CONNECTIONS2008 attendees. Be sure to ask for the conference rate when booking your room to get the conference room rate. You can reserve your hotel room online too.
I need a receipt for reimbursement. Can I get my receipt?
The confirmation you print after you register will act as your receipt. If you have additional needs, you may send e-mail to info@netsmartconnections.com.
Is parking available at the Caribe Royale?
Self-parking is available with no fee.
How far is the Orlando Airport from the Caribe Royale?
The hotel is approximately 15 miles from the airport.
What are the directions from the Orlando Airport to the Caribe Royale?
Take 417 South (Central Florida Greenway) to exit #6. Tolls will total $2.00. Follow to World Center Drive (Do NOT turn right onto International Drive). The Caribe Royale is located on the right side, after the light.
Is CONNECTIONS2008 providing transportation to and from the airport?
No. The following transportation is available.
- Taxi - There are several taxi companies in Orlando that are available at the airport. The typical charge from the airport to the hotel is $38.00 one way.
- Shuttle - Mears Shuttle is also available. The typical charge for this service from the airport to the hotel is $18.00 one way and $30.00 round trip. The Mears desk is located below the baggage claim area. The shuttle runs every 15 to 30 minutes. For a return trip to the airport, call Mears 24 hours ahead of time at 407.423.5566. You should depart the hotel on the shuttle 2.5 hours before your return flight.
- Rental Car - All major rental car companies provide rental car services at the Orlando International Airport.
What meals are provided?
CONNECTIONS2008 registration fee includes many meals throughout the conference.
- Monday evening poolside reception (hors d'oeuvres)
- Tuesday breakfast and lunch
- Wednesday breakfast, lunch and dinner (at the gala event)
- Thursday breakfast and lunch

The average daytime temperature is in the 80s. The average nighttime temperature is in the 60s. Generally, April is a relatively dry month with comfortable humidity.
