Who should attend CONNECTIONS2009?
CONNECTIONS2009 will feature product specific training sessions and updates for Netsmart product lines including Avatar, CMHC/MIS, Methadone, Insight, Vital Records and Helper. In addition, attendees can broaden their horizons with sessions of general interest like electronic medical record implementation, e-prescribing, and Netsmart University.

What are the components of the conference?
The conference offers three registration options.

• The General Conference will feature sessions for a variety of Netsmart users, including IT managers and staff, A/R and billing staff, systems managers, medical records professionals and others.
• The Executive Symposium will feature strategically-oriented sessions focused on agency management and industry issues and trends. It is designed for CEOs, Executive Directors, COOs, CFOs, CIOs and others with management responsibility for their organization.
• The Clinical Track is for clinical directors, clinicians, and others who manage or provide behavioral health treatment or clinical care. The track consists of clinically-focused sessions including
  • Dual Diagnosis (Mental Illness/Substance Abuse) in Youth & Adults
• Risk Management with High-Risk Behaviors in Youth & Adults
• A Comprehensive Review of Evidence-Based Practices.

What meals are provided?
CONNECTIONS2009 registration fee includes many meals throughout the conference.

• Monday evening reception at the Renaissance Nashville hotel
• Tuesday breakfast, lunch and breaks
• Wednesday breakfast, lunch and dinner at the gala event
• Thursday breakfast and lunch

Can I bring a spouse or guest?
Yes. There are two registration options for spouses/significant others/guests:

• Full Guest (access to all General Conference sessions, Exhibit Hall, meals Tues.-Thurs. and Gala): $225
• Gala Guest (Wed. night Gala at Wildhorse Saloon only): $130

What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellations received by February 1, 2009 will be refunded 50 percent of the conference fee. No refunds will be given after February 1, 2009.

Can I transfer my registration to a co-worker if I have registered but cannot attend?
Yes, please send an e-mail to info@netsmartconnections.com with your confirmation number and the co-worker's name and contact information.

Does the registration fee include my hotel room?
No. Your hotel room costs are independent of the conference cost. A special discounted room rate of $189/per night, plus tax at the Renaissance Nashville Hotel has been established for CONNECTIONS2009 attendees. Make your hotel reservations online for either group rates or government rates or by phone at toll free at 800.327.6618 and mention CONNECTIONS2009.

Is there a Government Rate for hotel rooms?
Yes. There are a limited number of rooms available for Netsmart CONNECTIONS2009 at the government rate of $117 per room night (plus tax). You will be required to show proof at check-in that you are employed by a government entity. Qualifying proof includes city, county, state or federal government ID/badge.

For all non-federal employees, State of Tennessee taxes will be applied. For exemption at
check-in, show proof that your agency has tax-exempt status one of three ways: Government Tax Exempt form - all taxes exempt; State of Tennessee Tax Exempt form - only sales tax exempt; or if your agency is located in a state other than Tennessee, a letter from the IRS to your organization stating that you are a 501(c)3. All room and tax expenses must be paid with either government credit card or check.

Please note:  If you qualify and wish to request the government rate when you register on the Renaissance Nashville online reservation site, you must select it from the pull-down menu for room type.

I need a receipt for reimbursement. Can I get my receipt?
When you register for the conference online, you will receive a confirmation e-mail as well as a receipt online that includes a summary of your charges.

Is parking available at the Renaissance Nashville?
Yes. Offsite parking is available on surface lots and garages near the hotel at costs starting at $6 per 24-hour period. Valet parking at the Renaissance Nashville hotel is available for $25 a day ($27.31 with tax).

How far is the Nashville International Airport from the Renaissance Nashville hotel?
The hotel is 9 miles (approximately 20 minutes) from Nashville International Airport

What are the directions from the Nashville International Airport to the Renaissance Hotel?
At the exit from the airport, take I-40 West to Exit 209A (Broadway)
Turn right on Broadway
Turn left on 7th Ave.
Go one block to Commerce St. The hotel is located at the corner of Commerce St. and 7th Ave.

What transportation is available from the airport to the hotel?
Grayline Airport Express shuttle service is available at the airport one level down from the baggage claim area. Cost is $12.00 one way and $20.00 round trip. You must call Grayline at 615.275.1180 for pick-up from the hotel to return to the airport. Taxi service is available for approximately $24.00 one way. Nashville also now has a Supershuttle available.  You can get make reservations online. Most major rental car companies have cars available at the airport.
